The first pieces of the Village Museum came from the private collection of Zoltán Szatmári. The new building of the museum vas erected with the joint efforts of the inhabitants in 1982. The permanent exhibition displays archaeological findings from the surrounding area, as well as local folklore objects and relics from the life of the peasantry, in many cases personal pieces of families in Isaszeg. A separate section shows the events of 6 April 1849, when the battle of Isaszeg took place, as a memorable episode in the glorious spring campaign of the 1848-49 Hungarian war of independence.
